We have 2 messaging system Exchange 2010 and Domino 8.5.1 managing same domain with 50/50 users split all mail routing works fine with exception when Outlook 2010 user sends calendar meeting request to Lotus Notes user, at that point Lotus Notes user gets regular email instead of meeting invite.
On Domino console when message is received I see “TNEFConvert: Message for user@domain.com was successfully processed” where I should see "iCalendar: Logging conversion of request from non-Notes source. Product ID: Microsoft Exchange Server 2010"
At the same time meeting invites sends from Notes to outlook work fine, meeting invites sent by Outlook to external domain work fine, the only issue is when outlook send meeting request to lotus notes user internally
In Lotus Notes when I receive one of this Outlook meeting request which are ending up in my Inbox as regular email and compare with email that was sent from outlook and meant to be email by doing view source the only difference I see is Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" in one that suppose to be Invite and Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" for one that is regular email
I guess question I’m trying to answer if what format Domino is expecting to get when there is an invite coming to do iCalendar: Logging conversion of request from non-Notes source?
we do receive meeting invites from external exchange servers taht are processed correctly so why would those forwarded from our internal exchange to smart host which in this case is Domino wouldn't work
